Kara Mining Ltd is a woman owned and managed mining contracting company which was formed to answer the call for Zambians to participate in mining in a meaningful way. The vision is to develop a citizen-owned contract miner performing at internationally recognised standards through partnerships/Incubation with reputable contract mining companies globally with a clear path to increase ownership, acquire assets and ultimately operate as an independent Zambian owned contractor.

The company has two divisions: Exploration and Mining Drilling and Surface Mining and Equipment hire. So far, we have successfully grown our relationship with Baba Drilling & Exploration where our teams have been working under incubation for the past few years for our Exploration Drilling Division Our surface mining and equipment hire division is operated under our partnership with Bothakga Burrow group of companies from Botswana, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm that has successfully run empowerment program with listed Mining Firms globally and in the region.

We believe that through partnerships with well-established and reputable mining firms that have a regional and global experience, we will grow and establish a formidable Zambian-owned Contract Mining and Equipment Hire company
